        <title>Who Am I?</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;A jack-of-all-trades with an eye for detail that gets things done. Whether it’s through images or text, I have the means and the ability to get your story out.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h4&gt;It's not about what you have to say, but how you say it.&lt;/h4&gt;

&lt;p&gt;These days, advertising hits people from every direction. Whether it be on their favourite social media sites or on the commute to and from school or work, they’re exposed to thousands of marketing materials from hundreds of companies, each calling for their time and money. The most likely result is that consumers ignore them, dismissing them as &lt;a href=&quot;https://www.vieodesign.com/blog/new-data-why-people-hate-ads&quot;&gt;useless or annoying&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;High budgets and polish isn’t enough; being able to effectively communicate your message has become more important than ever.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2&gt;What I Do&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;From a young age, I was obsessed with media and how it can convey meaning and ideas. I’ve learned a lot since my early days, having been exposed to millions of messages in every medium available, and I’m ready to put that use.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;While I work with multiple disciplines, what carries through each is that I aim for efficiency and quality in everything I do. Ultimately, I want to provide something of worth to my clients and the audience — rather than useless and annoying marketing, my main goal is that you find value in my work.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I imagine one might see my focus on writing as a futile endeavor. Of course, the average person doesn’t want to read novel-length articles daily, but it’s wrong to say it’s without merit.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Writing isn’t just a collection of words; it’s the dialogue in commercials, the copy on billboards, and the posts that scream out for attention on social media. They’re informative and persuasive, and carry power if composed correctly.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pictures may be worth a thousand words, but text is what seals the deal.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is one of the hardest and most fulfilling projects I had undertaken, both because of the camera system required to make it and the vision I had. I wanted to tell a horror story in which the viewer was the monster, gaining a perspective never seen before as the two hapless victims discover what power “The Game” has hidden away.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It is so satisfying to see what you’ve been picturing in your head on the screen. I can’t even begin to describe the happiness I felt upon seeing that opening shot.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The article mixes two styles, narrative and interview, to deliver information on a political candidate and the event they ran. I personally travelled to the office opening rally described in the article and got a few minutes interviewing the subject.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;What I thought paramount to capture in the article was the atmosphere of the event and put the reader in the centre of it all. This attention to detail — without being too flowery or verbose — is what I strive for in my works.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The article is an in-depth but concise look at a Toronto-based esports team going into their 2020 season. I wanted to go into the history of the players and what kind of expectations there were for them. In addition, I added in some concerns I had, as well as expanding out into a look at the format of the season itself and how that would affect them.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;While I was concerned about the accessability of the game in question and how a layman would understand some of the terms, I believed that the storylines of this team were worth discussing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Describing in raw but concise detail the emotional struggles these men and women go through was hard, but pivoting to an event advertisement was a tall order. After multiple drafts, the final copy reaches the goals I put for myself effectively.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is one of the early imaging assignments I did for school. The central theme was a “ghost investigation” using my grandmother’s house as a backdrop. I used controlled lighting and close-ups to create an eere feeling - even if the objects I was taking pictures of felt like the opposite.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Originally part of a larger slideshow, there were problems exporting it into something viewable outside Powerpoint (Submitting it as a .ppt was a requirement of the assignment). The images themselves communicate my idea well enough, so I decided to share a handful of my favourites.&lt;/p&gt;
